Alice Briggs is an artist, arts educator and curator who has exhibited and invigilated work in the UK and mainland Europe. She is currently assistant curator of Ceredigion Museum based in Aberystwyth and has experience in the commissioning and management of public art projects in her previous roles as Mid and North Wales project manager for Cywaith in Ceredigion, arts tutor for Aberystwyth University’s School of Lifelong Learning, gallery interpreter for Aberystwyth Arts Centre, and Project Manager forWales Arts International.Cymru(subsequentlySafle); the public art agency for Wales.  Other past positions include arts facilitator forHaul Arts in Health

Alice Briggs graduated in Visual Performance at Dartington College of Arts, and completed an MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle. Since then she foundedBlaengar- an emerging arts organisation focused on sites-specific works and creative events in the public realm.

Alice has a growing interest in the recuperative benefits of creative arts within the health sector.  She has experience of working within a variety of health care environments, including mental health, stroke rehabilitation and with children suffering long-term illnesses and learning difficulties. Alice is currently producing and curating an AgeCymru Gwanwyn project entitledIn the Minds Eye at Llantrisant Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Dementia Assessment Unit.

Additional Skills Computer skills: Photoshop (including scanning) and Director were used throughout my degree for installation, projection, video and documentation purposes within the course. Driving License:  Full, license and use of own car.
